Terms & Conditions

 

Minimum Order– There is no minimum order required for cakes. The minimum cupcake order is one dozen per flavor.

Payments – Payments may be made in cash, check, money order or credit card. Some custom orders may require a retainer. For orders over $400, a retainer of 50% the contract price is required for confirmation of event date, with the balance due no later than 30 days prior to event date. Retainers are non-refundable.

Complimentary Items – Every wedding cake order over $400 includes a certificate for a complimentary 6″ 1st anniversary cake.  Orders for a baby’s first birthday cake will also include a complimentary 4” “smash” cake.

Consultations & Appointments – The first in-person consultation is free, as is one additional in-person consultation for orders over $400. Additional in-person consultations or venue inspections are available by appointment for a fee, payable at time of service.

Rush Orders – Rush ordering is subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

Changes – Changes may be made prior to any work having been done on the order. Changes to the order may require additional charges. For orders over $400, the final order design is due at least 30 days prior to the event. No changes will be made within 30 days of event.

Cancellations – Kindly give 24 hours notice for cancellation of orders. All retainer monies paid are non-refundable and non-transferable to another date or order. Any monies paid beyond the initial retainer will be refunded, provided that no work has been completed on the order. For orders over $400, notice of cancellation is required in writing no later than 30 days prior to the event. If a portion or all of the work has been completed, partial refunds will be determined on a case-by-case basis. If full payment for an order over $400 has not been received by 30 days prior to the event, the order will be cancelled and no refund will be issued.

Delivery – Delivery charges are $.80 per mile (each way, minimum $20). Deliveries that also require set-up incur an additional fee. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the venue is open and available for delivery/set-up at the appointed time. Should our driver have to wait at the site for the venue to be opened, the customer will be charged for the time at a rate of $1 per minute, payable at the time of service, to the driver, in cash. If our driver cannot gain entry to the site within 1 hour, the order will be returned to the bakery. The delivery will then become the responsibility of the customer and a fee of $60 will be incurred at the time of pickup. The delivery fee will not be refunded.

Rented Equipment – A security deposit is required for all rented equipment. Rented equipment, including cake stands and supports, must be returned clean and in original condition within 5 days of the event in order for deposit to be returned. Be sure to inventory all pieces listed in the agreement or contract.

Food Allergies– All of Cupcake Cachet’s cakes, fillings, and frostings may contain or come into contact with soy, wheat, dairy or nuts. By purchasing products from Cupcake Cachet, the customer assumes responsibility for informing guests of this allergy information.

 Quality Control – It is the policy of Cupcake Cachet that our products will not be served at an event where similar products from another vendor will be served.  Cupcake Cachet also prohibits the misrepresentation of other products as those from Cupcake Cachet, including the reuse of Cupcake Cachet packaging. These actions compromise the integrity and reputation of Cupcake Cachet.  Cupcake Cachet reserves the right to refuse service to anyone in violation of this policy, or to anyone with the intent to violate this policy.

Customer Satisfaction – At Cupcake Cachet, we strive to provide high quality gourmet products and personal service to our customers.  It is our policy to guarantee the satisfaction of every customer.  If a customer is unhappy with one of our products for any reason, they should contact us and make arrangements to return the uneaten portion of the product to us within two days of taking possession of it so that we can address the nature of the complaint. Cupcake Cachet will make every effort to resolve the issue to the customer’s satisfaction.

Liability – Customers assume full responsibility for their event guests and agree to indemnify, hold harmless and defend Cupcake Cachet against all bodily injury, property damage or consequential damages which may result from Cupcake Cachet’s services and provision of any product. We are not responsible for any damage to the product, or shortage of product, caused by a guest, caterer, or any other person not employed by Cupcake Cachet. We are also not responsible for providing any order that has not been paid for in full. Reminder for orders over $400: If payment in full is not made at least 30 days prior to the event date, the order will be cancelled.

Edible Images – It is the customer’s responsibility to obtain permission for printing images. Cupcake Cachet will not print any edible images that are copyrighted without permission.

Photographs – Cupcake Cachet reserves the rights to all published photographs of our products. The use of photographs of any of our products in any publication without prior written permission from Cupcake Cachet is prohibited.

Acceptance of Terms & Conditions – Confirmation of an order is considered the customer’s acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
